They say you cannot build a sound future if you don’t honor your past, and knowing your roots is part of the process of self-discovery.
In my family tree, somewhere near the base, I discovered the great Constantin Tanase, a key personality in the 1900s Romanian theater, and this discovery has a lot of meaning for me.
Firstly, it says something about my ancestors’ courage in being pathfinders in times when few were brave enough to break patterns. In 2003, I stepped up and committed to carrying on this legacy by becoming one of the first freelancers in Romania, at a time when most were looking for the stability and safety of a work contract.
Furthermore, this discovery speaks about the entrepreneurial spirit, always alive, that was around me. In my family’s “portfolio,” you can find many types of businesses. The oldest I discovered, and also the most interesting, is a salt mine and a paper bag factory, where they used to pack the salt mined in the Calimanesti region around 1920.
The way my ancestors chose to live their lives left a great impression on me. They offered me the ambition to do important things for people and also an artistic sense and a deep understanding of those who choose to build long-lasting things on their own.
My parents started businesses in many domains, including a local magazine, a deli factory, and a real estate agency, one of the first in Bucharest, which opened soon after the Revolution in 1990. They dared to dream and open paths for other people who knew they deserved a more rounded life.
I grew up in a family with people who had great confidence in their dreams and power, which I inherited as well.
This is how, in my 20 years of activity, I have worked on hundreds of #brandingprojects. The agency Artvisiona was created with respect for its roots. We have a well-defined vision, and we address entrepreneurs everywhere so they can reach their full business potential in any marketplace.
